Early Zombie History
The word "zombie" was originally created in Haiti where someone called a reanimated coarpse a "zonbi" and it was then turned into zombie by the time it reached the English language. In the early 1900's the zombie was first introduced to the world in Haiti where people seemed to have died but came back to life. Some people think it's voodoo and some think it's science fictional. Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" bright the zombie character to "life". Before this film people only thought that zombies were a popular folklore story in Haiti but when Romero brought this theme to the Hollywood it instilled a new fear amoungst the public. He made it relatable and the idea was now a plausible thing and this really scared people and still does today for the threat of zombies happening one way or another.
